I just got this one from ebay, but I don't have any info on it. I have a Krause ANA centennial edition that lists quite a few New Zealand Tokens, but not this one. Any info is greatly appreciated.

George McCaul, Grahamstown, 1874. It's listed in my Krause (4th ed.) as KM# Tn44, CV $40 in Fine.

Actually, mine is an 1872! I now see the listing in my Krause, but it only lists the date as 1874 and there is no picture to go with the listing! Hmmm.

No, looking at the pic they've got in my Krause, and at other pics online, what you've most likely got is a perfectly normal 1874 - apparently the "4" on these tokens is very "2"-shaped. There's no 1872-dated tokens known for this type.

I see now, mine has a small hole and the hole goes through the bottom of the 4, leaving only the top. The top of the 4 is very 2-like. Thanks
