First-Time-And-In-Hand.. First-Time-And-In-Hand.. First-Time-And-In-Hand..

First-Time-And-In-Hand..

I found it in a jewerly store I went to get my everyday ring
fitted with a ring-sizer.

They were selling it with a chain for $1500
Was told the coin was 24 carat and the chain was 18 carat.

Very nice looking coin, KM#478, .900 gold and 16.6666 grams. Krause states that from 1960-1971 restrike were made with the 1959 date, and in 1996 a matte restrike was also made with the 1959 date.

I don't mean to offend, but I think that 90% gold would be a little less than 22 karats.

If you can live without the chain I bet you could probably get one for 10% over melt.
