I think you've got a rare one here. I did a search of the Heritage auction archives and found exactly zero listings of this denomination. A $100 from this bank (in VF) sold for $1,400 in 2015. Admittedly yours is in worse condition, but it may be rarer than the $100. What you need to reference is the Georgia section of Haxby's Catalog of Obsolete Bank Notes. These are available in CD format now, instead of buying the entire six volume set. http://www.shopnumismaster.com/obso...otes-georgiaYou might also get some valuation help from the SPMC if you are a member.

Chip, would you mind if I shared an image of your note on another forum, to see if we can gather more information?

Did not find reference to this note design in Haxby; but could have missed it somewhere. I'll keep 'digging' around.

I agree. There's not enough detail here to make out signatures and text.

If a sharper image is not available I'm wondering if this is a spurious note or ? If you could post: 1. what is printed between bank title and TWENTY DOLLARS, cannot make it out 2. the printing company 3. the signatures on the note 4. the date appearing on the note More info the better.
Thanks
