Wow that is a great coin, I have never found a Die Chip on one of the Reverse Letters. So cool. Great find :)
Did the bottom of the six get knocked off or what caused that to happen? It looks like someone took a bite out of it.

its a common one maybe on master die? if you have a handful of 1956 you should see the bottom missing on 1 of them

Nice coin Ocala :D

CoinCents: If I remember correctly coop posted something about this being a hub issue so lots of coins were affected.
EDIT: broken hub created many dies with the same feature

I have seen the 1969 one, I just figured it had gotten a hit there. I have A Lot of 56's I am going to see if I have one (I hope so).

Thanks for the great info. It seems no matter how many times I go to these websites (which is actually a lot) I still miss pages. Thanks for putting in the link.

I don't have any that are uncirculated, so most of mine have all the debris and dirt surrounding the devices - can't see a thing on them - including any possible RPM's. I have got to figure out how to clean those areas without damaging my coins.

Awesome! I know the BIEs do t bring huge premiums, but they're some of my favorite Lincoln Cent varieties. Very cool!
Rest in Peace

John, I think your coin is the 2nd stage, LDB4-1956-002B, of the 5 stage LDB4-1956-002 group. Cohen 56-B610 will have two Die Cracks on the coat, a small Die Chip on the top of the E on CENT.

I would like to include this coin on the COC site. Please email permission with a fill shot of LIBERTY, Date, the cracks on the coat and the chip on E on CENT.
