I have her at G-4 details, and I have seen similar coins go for $150-300.

Could possibly make G04, but I'm more comfortable at AG03 deails. Nice details though. Is that a die break between the T and E on the reverse?

I can take better pictures when I get home this weekend. The date is much, much stronger in hand. And the details are definitely AG+/G IMO. I'll take better pics this weekend.

G4 details - TPG grade.
Weak strike 6:00 on obverse and 12:00 on reverse.
Net AG with hits: EAC grade. I like it. Wish the date was more prominent (maybe shows better in hand?)

My copy of CQR being 25 years old, it's not much use for current pricing; I would grade yours G5 net AG3. Similar condition examples are bringing between 125-175. 1798 is full of R4 and scarcer varieties, so there's plenty of demand.

I need a last or even 2nd or 3rd to last edition of CQR, but the people who have them are loath to part with them, and they're almost never listed for sale.

No 1798 R4 LC is junk! Well maybe if it has a hole, but the OP's example is one I and many others would be happy to have. BTW, the date was never fully struck. Weak striking does not count against the grade. Of course a more full date would be nice:)

Almost (but not quite) G4 details, average- condition.
Devoid of obvious porosity and corrosion, but scratches, roughness and scattered pits and edge damage present. I would EAC at AG3, average-.
Value per 2011 CQR: $ 60; I can see it bringing a bit more, possibly up to $125
or thereabouts.
