I bought this off of ebay last week and it appears to be the famed DDO? Even if it was'nt, what would be the value? It has minor traces of doubling on the date, mint mark, and liberty. Image of the cent is below.

to CCF. Your coin does not look anything like the famed 69S doubled die. Look here to see what the real deal looks like http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies...ie_state=eds

BTW a doubled die is NOT an error. It is a variety. If you have other questions or coins you want to discuss, please post more photos.

If it was sold to you as a doubled die I would be asking for a refund.Pictures are to small to say for certain but from your description it sounds like Machine Doubling which has no value.

The real 69 DDO jumps up off the table and slaps you in the face. Once you've seen one, or a goo picture as was provided, you'll never be fooled by MD.

Does not appear to be the famed DDO. May be one of the less famed DDO though. Would need a clear close up of the date and mint mark. Thanks, Doug.
