Curious why we don't have higher grades listed in Trends for a lot of the coins they list?

Coins Canada seems to be better at this even Chariton seems to be missing info on higher grades in some coins e.g provincial

many higher grade coins are such low pop that there are not enough sales to give a proper "trends" value.

And I also think that for MS66/67 coins (whose populations are low), price ends up as whatever the buyer is willing to pay.

Another reason is that there are only nine or ten columns for pricing available as printed in CCN.
Some series such as Victoria ten cents have prices listed only up to MS63 because if MS64 prices were added G4 would have to be excluded.
G4 coins in this series outsell MS64 coins by at least a factor of ten, far more collectors (readers) are seeking out G4 prices.

There can't be too many ms 67 out there, except a few modern coins.

MS 66 & 7 are there because of eye appeal or surface finish and you can't put eye appeal on a grading. The one in the book/paper may not look anything like the one that you have in hand or thinking of buying.

What does it matter? Even if CCN had columns for MS-66/7 (or dare I say, SP & PL trends), they'd just plug an arbitrary & visually appealing price, and then never change it again. Those are the trends of "Trends".

Right - prices for 66/67 coins are all over the place, just depends on how good the coin REALLY is and who's attending an auction, for example. It's a crapshoot. I have never been able to understand the mentality of someone paying a stupid premium for a 67 or higher coin.

67's are absolutely worth their price. Their strike is full, their luster is outstanding, and their surfaces will look basically flawless to the naked eye.
