Just got the following. My first question is PRICING. I have yet do do the survey The Royal Canadian Mint is thinking about creating a 13-coin subscription series to mark the 150th Anniversary of Confederation in 2017 (i.e. Canada's 150th birthday). Tentatively called the Canada 150 subscription, we are looking for your feedback on potential thematic stories and coin designs being considered for this subscription. To do so, we invite you to share your opinions with us through a short survey. We recognize that you are busy, so this survey is very straightforward and can be easily completed online at your convenience, in about 15minutes. As a token of our appreciation, individuals who complete the survey by February 12, 2016 will have their name entered into a draw for a chance to win one of two shopping sprees, valued at $250 each, on mint.ca. Your responses will be confidential. We are not selling anything, nor will anyone attempt to sell you anything as a result of your participation in this study. We are simply interested in your opinions. To begin the survey, please click on the link below. If your email does not support hotlinks, please copy and paste the link into your browser.

Pricing is not the primary influence if the appeal factor is very high......heck, people are paying upward to $200 for an Easter Egg coin. Consider that your opinion is being requested by RCM, that's a good thing! <and if those of us who aren't sent the survey also aren't impressed with the series, we shall know who to blame >

I got the survey, and they gave you basically 2 options for the 13 coin subscription. I could not believe they were all re-hashes of either the Oh Canada series, the 20-4-20 or wildlife series.
there were only a few new concepts, but again they had it as a 1/2 ounce coin, priced " reasonably" at $44.95
there was one point where you had to choose between the 2 options, and you were giving a small opportunity to voice your opinion explaining your choice.
I was disappointed in their design suggestions, and told them so, and explained that I would rather buy ounces of silver and have 4x+ the silver weight for the same cost of one of these coins.
I wished they would have had more of an interactive portion, where one could actually write more.

Just completed their survey as well. "I wished they would have had more of an interactive portion, where one could actually write more." - agree Hopefully our opinions matter. Mine were in general. I wouldn't waste my time/ money buying these at $44.95 for 13 coins. And yes I collected the 2013 O Canada $10 and $25 series directly from RCM and now can buy them at 1/3 - 1/2 of their price. There was a short poll as to why purchase coins hopefully this factor will way heavily in their overall results but probably NOT.

Is the series connected to the circulation themes as well? Seems the extreme of patriotism becomes just bland.... https://goccf.com/t/239264

Just finished the survey myself, the 2 themes are both repeats of the 2013 and 2014 O Canada Series.... Boring!
$44.95 for 1/2oz silver with mintage of 15,000 and a free wooden collector box for subscribing the 13 coin series is not too bad, but $39.95 is more reasonable.
And why not consider something like a series of coins, each with the code of arms of each Province/Territory on the reverse, and double date the year the province/territory joined the Canadian Confederation and 2017.

A finely crafted high and low relief of Canada, in our shape today with Quebec of course being able to pop out, kind of like a really intense version of an atlas.

Who got the survey, is it sent out randomly? We got one from the RCM last year but not this year.
