2015 Bombay Hook Delaware State Quarter (circulated) with errors what ive found so far: * A in "states" top half missing * last A in america looks to be struck with trash in die * "in god we trust" shows doubling * "liberty" shows doubling * "quarter" shows doubling * "dollar" both L's and A missing top half + dblng * P mint mark doubled * Date struck with trash? * Whole coin Struck Through Grease? * Whats with the chin lol There doesn't look to be a word on this quarter without a problem. Will upload more pics later, need to edit to get them under the 200k limit. What do you guys think? I havent found anything like it online, heck one site said true double die problems shouldnt exist on these coins due to modern minting techniques. Is it worth anything? Thanks! My guess would be a weak strike on a worn-out die.

Obverse is showing the die is experiencing heavy die wear on it making the marks inside the devices on QUARTER to look different. The die is in the LDS when your coin was struck. Note die flow on the fields also.

LDS is late die state, meaning it has minted a lot of coins(not Latter Day Saints). The obverse is the "face" side. This site has an amazing glossary of coin terms. It's a great way to learn more. There's a button for it near the top of the left sidebar.

The dies go through a degenerative process during the striking of coins. Starting with EDS (early die state) MDS (Mid die state) LDS (late die state) VLDS (very late die state) The dies loose crispness with each strike and continue to break down until the die is retired. Here is a list of approx. how many coins happen during a normal run of 1,000,000 coins per die: Events happen during the lifetime, so not all dies make it that far. This is for Business strike cents. Proof coins have a more limited amount of coins struck during their lives. (usually 3,000 max)

Since there aren't any minting errors on it, you may be able to get about $0.25 for it. Sorry.

lazy minting employee doesn't count as a minting error?

vlds doesn't mean a lazy mint employee? Where did you get that from. Do you think that the employee just didn't change the die?

Not a lazy employee. Just part of the aging process. Probably 350,000 were struck after this coin. Just a few more wrinkles in life.
