Asking price is around $210.

Seeking-Advice-On-Hadrian-Denarius-Purchase.

I understand denarii of Hadrian are very common, but this one seems exceptionally nice with good surfaces, detail, well-centered, full legend, no distracting edge chips/cracks, etc.

Having a hard time finding comparable sold pieces on ebay (a seemingly pervasive issue when it comes to the highly varying quality found in world of ancients), which is my usual metric for determining fair price. So I'm wondering if this is at least within the ballpark.

Any guidance is appreciated!

There is one listed on acsearch.info in EF but it didn't sell so no price available. Checking similar prices for coin in this condition right around the $200 range is about right. Though you might find it a little cheaper with some searching. I'd start with V-coins.

That's truly an outstanding portrait. Quite a coin. Here's an EF with price realized:

Really love that portrait. I don't think the price is untenable.

I think the price is not bad, but if you browse harder, you might find a better price .

A very beautiful denarius...
Price? The price of this denarius is right but you can find better prices if you work looking for a cheaper one.
The question is if you are going to forget this coin while you wait for a cheaper one.

Many thanks for the comments, all.

I just pulled the trigger on this one since it was marked down to $195. (unfortunately, registered shipping from Europe is an extra $20)

I figure it was a fair price for a quality piece that will likely hold a place in my collection for as long as I live.
