Hello! I'm new here, so hopefully this is the right spot... anyway I just picked up this lot but these tokens elude me a bit. Anyone have any idea as to a value, or if these things certify? They've been verified by a high-end metal x-ray machine to be solid gold, so I know that much. Anyway, any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Copies, possibly for jewelry. (Personal opinion. All genuine California gold fractionals bear a denomination.)

Well, I've found that they do indeed certify, which is good news:

Granted, those examples ^ are quite a bit nicer-looking :)

I'll snap some much better photos of these when they arrive.

There is a market for these even at gold value; they do not carry a numismatic premium nearly as much as the denominated / fractional pioneer gold issues. Very attractive tokens you have at any rate, and worth keeping.
