About the condition you would expect for a junk box (6 for $1 US) find, but a pleasant surprise. Albeit, the silver value did not beat the junk box price by much.

I also picked up a badly worn, graceless (i.e., no Dei Gratia) quarter. Glad to know I can throw it in with my Canadian sterling.

It's really not in that bad of shape, but very dirty. Seems F-12 to me details.

i'd give it a VG10 but with what looks like environmental damage and maybe pvc damage? (green stuff)?. If you're feeling ambitious, I would try giving that a good rinse in acetone. I've had what looked like pvc damage before but ended up being paint or wax and it came off nicely. Either way, you got a 1.30$ in silver and can't lose! good pickup!
