I recently picked this up from an ebay auction. I don't normally collect ancients so my knowledge base is ZERO. This coin really caught my eye. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful

From the ebay pictures I couldn't tell much, so I enhanced them a bit. However it didn't help me much, I not sure. Hopefully someone will be able to tell who it is.

Echizento - Thank you for helping with the pictures. I don't have photo capability so I'm usually stuck with the photos from the ebay auctions that I win.

The detailed pictures you made are VERY helpful. Thank you for your time and effort on my behalf. Jack

Mot a problem, just sorry I couldn't help with the ID. It looks like it's a Roman Provincial coin.

I believe this is a Roman Provincial coin of Hadrian from the city of Chalcis in Syria

Example here, there are also a couple on wildwinds

Biancasdad - This looks much more like it. This has the beard and (I think) some of the writing matches up. On the reverse I guess those two spots on the left (that look like eyebrows) are maybe cornstalks, or part of a wreath. On my coin only two of the eyebrow-thingy-cornstalks are boldly present due to it being an off center strike. Great information. Thank you. Jack
