CoinCents Pillar of the Community United States 3656 Posts	Posted 02/11/2016 12:26 am From what little I know, I would say it is a die crack and a lot of times with the gray above the lettering that is usually the plating splitting away. The split plating happens a lot. But I really like the die crack (very cool). I am sure the experts will be along to give you their findings. Report this Post to the Staff

I went back and looked further with that die crack and I didn't notice how long it was. I enclosed some new pics. I noticed by the forehead is that another crack? Report this Post to the Staff
