Another 2 awesome notes "Regent" Quote: How many of these exist? ... How often do you see this note when your at shows or dealers?
According to 31st Ed of Charlton, there are 25 notes "recorded." Since several posters have claimed that their note wasn't recorded, graded or registered with any database, we can assume there's at least about 30 in collectors hands (that we now know about from this forum). There's probably far more than that out there- (very few collectors participate in these forums) but still a very tough note to acquire (in any condition). And although I haven't attended any shows (or visit coin shops/dealers) for quite some time, I can tell you that I have rarely seen the H/A nor the J/A "narrow panels" for sale in the past. W2W

That's a nice looking example, I've added it to a running list on the Canadian Paper Money Forum.

Here was the note I owned up until a few months ago. I had purchased it raw and sent it for grading.

Do you mind telling how you came about owning it? I am always interested in finding out about the stories that go along with the things I like to collect - it gives me a connection. I do plan on sending mine in next year to BCS when they are having their summer special. I also try to get every H/A and osborne note I can get my hands on.

Great adds guys! (I wish I owned one! I only have the H/A $1) Here's a link to the CPMF Registry: https://cdnpapermoney.com/notes/reg.../66/295/list-36 reported on that registry & I'm seeing 4 more here (yet to be added) so a paltry 40 in total. A super scarce note, great to own in any condition. (BTW: don't let the low # of H/A on the registry be misleading- these are much more common than the J/A but still tough to find). "Osborne-Towers" had 5 prefixes (50,000,000) but are much tougher in "Original" (or EPQ) & higher UNC grades. [As a side note: 2M Osborne-Towers $2 so very tough (low BV for UNC IMO) 8.8M Osborne-Towers $5 but the most elusive in AU to GEM 6.4M Osborne-Towers $10 & much easier to acquire in AU to GEM than the Twenty 1.6M Osborne-Towers $20 and easier to obtain in higher grades but still quite a tough note to source 100,000 Osborne-Towers $50 - I have seen a few of these in ragged VG (which I should have probably tried to buy) so they're very much as elusive as the FIVE or even tougher. 70,000 Osborne-Towers $100 I've seen many more of these in higher grades (likely as they were stashed in SDB) so much like the $20 15,000 Osborne-Towers $1000 these notes are tough & sought after by World collectors so demand is high too].

I look constantly for the Osborne signature on banknotes - I am sure that I am not alone! I have the $5 graded VF25 and the $1 and $2 graded VF35. Plus multiples of the $1 and $2 that are not graded, perhaps next year I'll send them (along with the H/A's) into BCS if they run their special again in the summer.
