I ordered 5 of the March of Dimes proof sets - I was looking at the rev. proofs under a scope and noticed all 5 seemed to have a small die scratch over the eye and I have a few questions:

1. Is this normal, do they all have this die scratch?
2. Would it have an effect on the value?
3. Would it have an effect on the grade?

Here is a sample photo (all coins look the same):

I only ordered 1 three coin proof set as I needed the Dollar Coin for a necklace (to match the b/u MoD Silver Dollar I made), and my Dime has no die scratch..

Since I don't have a use for the W&P proof dimes, if anyone knows what they are worth, I can list both dimes here (individual or both) and get some of my money back..

Looks like a die crack to me. As to affecting value or being collectible, I would rather not have it on the coin.

in this instance, if it is a die crack, it detracts rather than adds value to the coin.

Mine don't have the scratch but just decided to look a couple of mine over real close and one W dime looks like 70 but both reverse dimes have issues one has few marks on neck the other has a divot on the cheek have a 3rd set I haven't opened yet. And both rev proofs are getting the white haze on them already, normal? Also a spot on one face have any of you ever attempted in any way to remove a small spot? I prob won't touch because I tried with an inexpensive proof once and scratched it so easily but was curious about all you guys and what you have ever done thanks

Brokencoin I would be interested in the dimes from the March of dimes set. How much was you looking to get for them?
