No RPM's after 1989.

1990 was the first year the MM was added to the die thus eliminating the RPMM. By the way, Fantastic pictures

Machine Doubling most likely. As others have said, RPMs ended in 1989, because in 1990 they became part of the master die, and are no longer hand punched into the die.

Yes. The punch went out of existence in 1990 to never return again.

guess I already new that, was just hoping it might be something new or different. never thought Machine Doubling could mock a split serif, Thanks for your help...............dinkyblue

It only mocks it becase it creates a line when it cuts into the device.
