That is a wonderful collection!

I am interested in the 1893 Exposition because my great-grandfather helped build it. Most of what he built is gone now. He did the concrete scrolls and designs on the top of buildings.

Thanks for sharing your photograph. You have a real treaure there!

Thank you Buddy, my father would have been happy to hear the history of your great-grandfather.

I'm surprised to find & understand the feelings of this U.S. collection : exunomia, scripophily, currency & more.

For a french heritage all seems to me fantastic in an era where internet was not present at home.

Yes, you have a set of souvenir tickets from the 1893 Worlds Columbian Exhibition. The larger item on the left behind the Manhattan Day ticket looks like a postcard and is not part of the set. All of these are worth something and are quite collectable. The souvenir set was sold in a small envelope priced at $2.00. These tickets were printed by the American Bank Note Company from New York.

I really have to wonder how and when they got to France.

Rest in Peace

marccollection, thanks for showing these. Tbe 1893 Columbian exposition items cross over all the areas such as Exonumia, stamp collecting, and coins. A most interesting area. Those tickets seem very attractive.

Very cool! The first public event lit by electricity if I am not mistaken. Tesla's current won the day for the event. And , yes you should look for '92 and '93 half dollar to round out you set.

I don't know if I will invest money/items in this collection,
must move soon with few personal belongings.

I Think with High Grading estimate to minimum $1000US
See good values with PCGS endorsement.
Rest in Peace

At least you got to have it for a while -- and you can always find the photo here. I am glad you were able to share it here.
