It's fake, but even if it wasn't, I'm not sure it would be worth much more than melt in that horrifically destroyed condition.

How can you tell it's a fake? It just looks like a coin that was a polished brooch at one time.

Typical cast example, all of the devices are soft. Most easily seen on this example on the reverse with the lack of any details on the eagle which are 'blobby' rather than worn. Additionally, note all of lettering and the motto in particular, which have no clear cut definition from the fields and are much wider than those found on a struck coin.

Finally, look at the denticles on the obverse that lack space between them.
