Hello all,

Just curious to know potential grade and also market value of this 1888 Spanish 5 Pesetas coin.
The coin looks better in hand than the scans show.

Weight of coin is 25.0 grams and is .900 silver (gunned).

There is definitely some wear on the high points, but not much,
AU50,
EF in the British system.

If the coin is in AU condition then it's probably worth around $40-50, I'd guess. These coins were faked, so be careful.

The baby King.

Reminds me of four generations British Prime Ministers:
Pitt the Elder, Pitt the Younger,
Pitt the Boy, Pitt the Glint in the Milkman's Eye.

Nice coin, I'd give it a grade of EF-45.

I'd agree with the low AU grade. If you want the most current prices for this or any coin see ebay closed sales.
