Would like to get more info on this coin. Is this a known error?

Also, how do you grade such a coin - the details are very sharp in some areas and weak in others - it looks like the second strike actually flattened a number of highpoints (especially on the obverse) and details - the actual wear from usage seems very limited.

I can't see as much on the obverse, but it does appear the obverse die re-struck the reverse. Interesting coin! I find it hard to comment on grade from pics.

It is a flip over double struck coin. Modern ones exist also.

They can also happen in different denominations.See link blow.
