Snagged up a 1872 one of the rarer dates for $40....looks like a nice solid G4....definitely saw its fair share of circulation. what say you CCF.

She's a little rough, but I think she'll squeeze by at a G4. For the price, you can't complain too much, anyway :P

Sorry , but I'm at AG-3. I don't have enough strength in my hand to squeeze out G-4 .

I'm at AG-3 details. Looks to be porous & damaged in areas.

yes a little porous, but good honest wear on a coin nearly 150 years old. rims look virtually complete. nice pick-up!

My '78 is ugly and my '88 is uglier :(

I'm short the 77 and 09-S as well, but not really looking to complete the set. Most of my $$ goes to EAC, Morgans, and Liberty Seated coins these days. Currently saving up though for a '36-D Washington in MS63 or better to replace my AU53 (the only non-MS coin in my set.)

I don't mind just looking to fill the wholes possibly. What do you want to trade for them possibly?

T-Bop handed it to me when he was done and I squeezed like crazy, too, but only got the AG-03, too.

1872's are always bucks for any example. I think you did quite well for the price.

I think it technically makes G-04, but it's clearly a details coin.

On balance, I do not think this was a wise purchase, when a clean brown example could have been purchased for not much more. Just my opinion.
