I'm not sure if this is appropriate spot for these but I found these golden little metallic figures picking and I was having problems figuring out what they actually are. They depict two maybe dancing French aristocrats from the late 1780's. They are like 2" high.

They are highly detailed but no makers mark. They are magnetic but only barely and only if I use my most powerful earth magnetic so definitly not solid gold :) or ceramic.

I was thinking chess pawns or just tin soldiers. What do you guys think, ever seen any? Any guess on the year? Maybe modern or more vintage?
Again I know it's not totally coin related, but it is small tiny gold metal :).

Gold plated most probably.
By the looks of the bases they appear to be gold plated brass.

From the detail, they look to be lost wax investment cast.

If they were solid gold, they would be very noticeably heavy.

OK in a display cabinet anyway.
Rest in Peace

Appears to be of a mass produced figural display piece. Without a makers mark it is virtually impossible to determine dates or value, other than to pop them onto ebay and see if you get a bite.

Almost every foundry of any importance hallmarked their pieces. Without that hallmark, there really isn't much that can be done for a search.
