Hey everyone,

I am going through about 150 tokens to consider buying. Two Chatham tokens have that gasoline in the mud puddle look. I assume they were toned silver so I checked my out dated Pelletier book.

One exists for 1979 and is supposivle worth $50. Was there one made in 1980? How many?

Also the 1987 Chatham has some "gasoline-ing" but a reeded edge. Any ideas?

Why were these made? Sold as souvenirs or given to dignitaries?

Just going by memory and not looking anything up, I think that sometimes-attractive toning took place on the non-silver versions frequently too. I only have the rather early Pelletier book too, so I'm not much help.

No problem, I am happy with the lot. Anything you are looking for give me a shout, I think I am buying the binder full.
