My wife and I went for a drive and stopped into a pawnshop/antique store/coffee shop in a very small town, less that a 100 people. while waiting for coffee I found this in their shop for $35.00. The only coin they had.

While I collect ASEs and Morgan dollars I couldn't pass it up. Looked lonely in case by itself.

Came with original box and COA as well.

I know nothing about these nor have I ever heard of Tuvalu, but I figured at the price they had it at I couldn't go wrong as I have seen some colour coins sell for much more.

I am not a fan of NCLT,
nevertheless,
I think you did quite nicely in this case.

I'm sure that prickly little dude appreciates the rescue. Don't you wish you knew the story of how that ended up where it did?

Late night TV ..... insomnia ....... a credit card ....... HSN Coin Vault ........ a year later, you need money to pay the heat bill, so you pawn the coin they convinced you was an "investment" at $129.00 for spot ($14.29).

........ thinking I'm pretty close to the story .......
