I think its strong enough for VF20. the reverse looks VF25

1851Os are notorious for poor strikes.

The rim ding will hurt, but grading on these is fairly loose. I think it would make VF30. Notice how only 3 of the six points of the shield are really worn.

I also use PCGS photograde it's a great tool for us newer collectors. Very nice find I agree vf25

Oops. Maybe I should have mentioned that I have not purchased this coin yet. Is it a good buy at $70? I'm not sure if I can afford to keep it right now.

VF20-25 at $70 is an okay deal, not great, but you might come out a bit ahead on a flip and sell. Books around $90 in that grade, and they're always in demand as the only "O" mint 3CS.
