I just started transferring the coin from 2x2 into the album and I had such a hard time getting some coins to fit in the hole. I don't know what to do. Is there a way to make the hole bigger? I even made a small tear on one of the pages trying to push the coin in.
Had anyone else have similar issue with the Intercept type set album?
Thank you.

Quote: If they are too stiff, you could try using a utility knife or rotary tool to round out the holes. If I use a knife to round out the hole, it might not be smooth edged anymore. In that case is it ok for the coins touch that exposed material?

I am not sure. I have never closely examined their pages (I only have Dansco albums), but was under the impression that the material was solid and the exposed part from the cut hole was not coated or treated in any way. They certainty are not in Dansco pages.

Last year I bought a Intercept shield type album from Wizard coin. When it came there were two extra/duplicate pages. I did not know why until I started putting the pages in. I know the last page was one of them, the 2009 Lincoln's would not fit, until I swapped out the page. I would have to dig around and see if I still had the pages I took out, but I think the other page was page one.
Not sure who you could check with to get replacement pages for yours. Maybe Wizard coin.

I tried to find where I first posted mine https://goccf.com/t/242296&whichpage=1In the pictures you can see all the coins I have it the holes were not too small ... after switching pages. But I do notice some of the coins rotate, so I think some of the holes may be a little big.

Ohh so that's what those extra pages are for. I ordered the album from wizard coins and it did come with 2 extra pages and I was wondering why they sent extra pages so I kept it. Thank you for sharing that info. I will insert into those pages and see how that'll go.

It would have been nice if Wizard .. Or Intercept Shield would have put a note to tell us what the extra pages were for.
I think they will help with the small hole problem, once you swap them out.

I would use sandpaper to enlarge the hole if it only needs a little bit a knife or blade could easily take off too much or egg the the hole

Good idea. If I used a knife or blade it would be to scrape (not cut), but sandpaper would be better. I am just thankful my Dansco holes responded the way they did.

I did switch out the pages but it didn't help me at all. The extra pages seem to be the same, the same holes were small but some other slots were slightly bigger. So I used a micromotor and bur to grind along the rims. Now it fits, due to my inexperiance it does show the abuse:( I will post some pics later.

I've had similar problems with many different Albums. One method I've used to enlarge the holes is to remove the plastic slides and using a slightly larger coin for the one that is supposed to be there, round out the hole. I mean by using a slightly larger coin, put in the hole and slowly twist around and around. Will not look pretty but will enlarge the hole so your coins will fit. A slightly messy method is to remove the slides and roll up a piece of ruff sandpaper. Using it as a sort of drilling device, twist the sandpaper around and around. Yes it will leave pieces of stuff so a good blowing device will be needed.
