Still a fairly nice coin despite some definite abuse. So sad to see those hairlines on the observe. Would love to have something like this for my 7070. Problem-free mid-grade Seated dollars sure are pricey!
Rest in Peace

Mechanical cleaning is evil on the obverse. It's a 7070 hole filler in my opinion. $120-$140.

Man, you guys are harsh. Put a hole in it, and it will still be bid up to the prices you are quoting. ebay shows a value of $200-250+ for this coin, even with the harsh cleaning.

Even with noted problems, this coin should hot $200 on ebay.

The photo does not help, I think the white balance is off,
so the color is not what it would look like in hand.

On the right side it's genuine. On the down side is the harsh cleaning it has received, and notice on the obverse the field area right of Liberty seems concave and slightly uneven. I believe it has been repaired to have graffiti removed from the fields. It isn't just cleaned it's damaged and repaired then cleaned.

It's a nice $250 belt buckle coin, especially the reverse which looks like high VF. You could buff it up and really make it shine.

I had a repaired 1872-S dollar several years ago. It had been plated to hide a plugged hole above Liberty's head.

it's worth nothing to me, as I wouldn't own it. (unless someone gave it to me)

May sell for $200 on ebay but many informed collectors wouldn't bid that high. Especially when you could probably get a lower VF in problem free condition for $300-$350.
