What else do you see flawed with these coins? I am very, very, new to all of this numismatics. Thanks John!

Morning Bob, You say your in Macomb county,that's out of the areas I frequent. I could recommend a couple good coin shops in my area but have no idea in your area. As to conditions of the coins,I see milk spots and some bad toning along with some rubs/scuffs. If you plan on "collecting" bullion coins you will have to get ones that will TPG at 69 or 70 to have any chance of future collector premiums. If you are buying raw coins I would stick with buying in person,shops and shows. John1  |

Bob, here's one of my sets. If you're going for collectable ASE's with future value appreciation above silver spot you need to either buy slabbed ones graded 69-70 like John said or compile an album.set of the highest quality and eye appeal coins https://goccf.com/t/246086 |

Thanks for the info/help guys! Now, I've got a couple more questions for you since you have changed my point of attack so to speak. So, buying TPG Eagles for a collection. Is it more desirable for all slabs to be matching? I.E., Blue label "early release" or your standard brown label 69's. Also, what about a mixed TPG collection? I find myself favoring the NCG coins. Not sure why, maybe at quick glance they are more available. But they do seem to fetch a slightly better asking price. I would think an entire collection in lets say brown NCG's or other would be a better haul than mixed with various TPG's. Thoughts? |

Sure if you have ocd or want a complete set to all look the same but what is most important is grade 69 or 70 but 70s can get very expensive. See, thing is, when you do go to sell its much better to sell individually rather than as a whole as you'll get more $ out if it by breaking it up so that's why I say grade is superior to all slabs and labels being the same.
However if you want say all NGC 69's you can get a set of all the business strikes for around $1500 +/- I think if you just want to buy it all at once. And I think a set of all NGC 69 proofs is around $2k I think. Don't hold me to those numbers though

Or you can go the toned route if ypu like color. Nice ones cam be had for between $80-$300+ each depending on intensity and eye appeal. Here's a couple of mine. Ones like these are in the $200 range... https://goccf.com/t/248633 |
