Started out on a mission to get some cheaap coin flips and paper currency holders. Success was on the horizon...

I walked in, and was taken aback. I expected so much more. Striking up a conersation was easy and painless. In fact he was a pleasure to talk to! After a few minutes of small talk about why I stopped in and what I was into. I was privy enough to see some of what wasn't in the rather small display. Boy, was I shocked!

Never the less.... I walked out with my coin flips, paper holders. A FREE coin tube, which is probably the coolest tube I have seen. I'm also the father of a couple new daughter Liberty & Liz. Mama's not so proud... But daddy sure is! lol

What do ya think!?!

Neat stuff. No better time than getting a personal fix from your corner dealer.

THAT sounded bad...

That's an awesome story/report! Reminded me of my first trip, I grew up in rural area, no coin shops for hours, but when I first went to the big city I demanded my pop take me to the coin store- little did I know, he remembered all those different designs and busts and we collected together and enjoyed memories ever since.

Been collecting for decades now!

Remeber, some people get the bug and some don't!

My LCS owner and workers are not talkative at all. If I ask them questions they act like I am a huge inconvenience. I wish I had a LCS in my area that was more customer friendly.

CSOTUS, I'mhuge firearm advocate/collector. And that sounds like an experience one ould receive from a gun shop turd. I hope you have better luck in the near future. And makes me appreciate my experience that much more.

Not to add insult, to injury but... My shop owner went so far as to tell me to come back for coffee and conversation anytime. And that it is a cool place to hang out if I'd like. Very welcoming to say the least. Some of the firearm stores need to take heed. I'm sure they would increase biz tenfold (no pun).

Also John1, if you are an east sider (tri-counties), I'm very sure you already know the shop. lol. Are you a metro area resident?

My apologies for all the typos in my posts'. I'm not used to not having the ability to edit my post. I almost exclusively use a tablet. And my sausage fingers don't always cooperate with the keyboard.

A couple of more trips back to my LCS.

I first time I laid eyes on one of these Eagles, I was hooked! lol So I went and picked up a few other years. Not too fond of the Buffalo, but I figured why not for the collection. Can't wait to fill the years infor the Eagles.

Bob,
Quick question, are you buying these as bullion or as collectibles? If as collectibles they have condition issues,as bullion it would not matter.PM me your location please.

I intend on building a collection. However, I haven't paid a premium for any of them. Well, I guess I have paid a slight premium. Not much over spot. I WAS NOT aware of the flaws you are speaking of. I did notice some milk spots on a couple of them. But beyond that... I am clueless!

I did check on a couple of sites last night, (JM) for uncirculated years. Maybe I should go that route? I'm in Macomb county never the less. I am in Macomb county btw. And the shop I have been going to is called Gold Cove.
