I've been collecting coins for a few years now - primarily U.S. 1800-1950 coins.

I was looking online at the various magazine/newspapers for the hobby since no bookstore or library near me has any for me to view.

I'm looking for opinions. If you subscribe to Coins Magazine, Numismatic News, or anything else---what do you like about them, is it worth the money, which one(s) do you prefer and why?

I love Numismatic News Express.

Free monthly publication.

Just give them your email and it will start showing up.

Good read and I love looking at all the advertisements.

Nice show schedule too.

I like Coins Magazine . every month there is an article on coin finds that I find very interesting. they give prices of not only all U.S. coins in the main grades, but also prices for all proof and mint sets as well as prices for all bu rolls ,cents through halves starting from 1934-present. the only con about this magazine is : they used to give mintages on all the coins listed .but the last few issues they did not list any mintages .

I subscribe to Coin World.
IMO definitely a good starting point.

Forget about the greysheet (Coin Dealer Newsletter) unless you get deep into older US coins.
I get it but only the monthly option.
Prices rarely change faster than that.

Coin World is my favorite although I don't have a subscription. I prefer to pick it up from a nearby bookstore.

For professional articles it's tough to beat The Numismatist. Plus your subscription gives you a year membership in the ANA which some advantages, too.
