I will hopefully e able to take pics next week when tube extender comes in, but I did have a question.

I have been trying to find the VAMs on my own coins. I have an 1884-O that has die clashes very similar to the 1886 VAM 1C. I however cannot find this on VAM worlds 1884-O VAM list

Is there a VAM like the 1886 VAM 1C for the 1884-O?

When you say similar to the '86 1C, you mean multiple offset clash marks on the reverse?

That's why I ordered the tube extender kit for my camera...been told this will let me zoom right in on part of the coin and snap a shot not just whole coin. Should have pics for ya sometime next week. If there is a way you can do it with just a close up of whole coin I can do that today.

I was looking through my Cherry Pickers Guide last night and saw the 1886 VAM-1c. This is the only VAM I have found then even looks close (same shape even) to what this coin has. Thought I had finally found what I was looking for until I saw date of coin in pic.

It's probably listed for some other feature it has, and not the rotated pair of clashes. The 86 VAM 1C is unique in that it's the only Morgan that doesn't have lettering transferred with the clash that is listed as a VAM. If the OP coin is attributable and the clashes aren't mentioned in the listing, then what should happen is other coins of that VAM number should also be inspected for the clashes. If there are some that have them and some that don't, the clashed one should be submitted to Leroy Van Allen for either revision of the listing or addition of a new listing with the rotated clashes. How it ends up being listed would be up to Leroy.
