Pretty sure that it is Chinese not Korean, but there are folks who will come by and give you all the details.

Preliminary attribution is Emperor Ren Zong (1796-1820 within Qing Dynasty). Obv: "Jia Qing tong bao". Rev: "Boo chiowan" (Board of Revenue mint).

It's original. I would say worth about 50 cents, or maybe even less, it's pretty worn.

In their day, these had the purchasing power equivalent of 25-50 cents in modern times. Literally billions were made, and their ultra high relief meant they could withstand 100+ years of daily use. They ceases to be legal tender when the Qing dynasty ended, and the populace was left with billions of these things to offload on tourists.
