As I was going through a coin collection that I inherited I found this coin. After fumbling through some coin websites I found that this is a key date. This coin has not seen the light of day for about 40 + years. I was wondering if anyone could grade this and also tell me if the last T in the word TRUST is an error.Thanx in advance. EDIT: New photos on page 2

I'm no expert on Peace dollars but I got a feeling it could be an altered coin or even a potential fake. The word God doesn't look right and trust as you mentioned is off.....wait for more opinions also try testing it with a magnet....if it sticks it's fake.

Really need a bit better photos to get started here. The above magnet suggestion is worthwhile, but not all fakes are ferrous. An accurate weight would be helpful.

I agree with @imtherealalphaomega . The words god and trust look off. If it is real, I would grade it XF40. Here are some photos of my 1928 Peace dollar for comparison. I hope this helps.

If it helps, a magnet will not stick to the coin.

Looks genuine in the second set of photos. Also appears to be EF-45 details, cleaned

Sorry for the confusion @IndianGoldEagle. The second set of photos are of my coin. I provided them for comparison. They are not of the author's coin.

Must admit that none of the last three letters in "Trust" look right.

If it's possible to post brighter photos it might help. Right now, without being able to view details it's tough to give you a complete answer.

The first E in PEACE looks like an S but with the dull not so clear images it's hard to tell.
