My example of the 1 cent is also pretty much uncirculated. Wasn't that date made after the Japanese had invaded already? (My example of the 50 centimes is more circulated but also older.) sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21788 Posts	Posted 02/24/2016 06:57 am If the coin was struck after the Japanese invasion of the Dutch East Indies, the coin would not have entered into circulation. The uncirculated condition is evidence of that. It is probable that this coin has never been IN Indonesia. According to Krause, one hundred million of them were struck at the Philadelphia Mint. I guess that almost all of them have been melted. 30 years ago, they were quite common in dealer's junk boxes in Australia, never seen these days. Report this Post to the Staff
