An excellent example, Albert! Fyi, the portrait's long beard makes this a Sellwood 78.3, not 78.2. I still call these Sellwood 78's Vologases III, but Dr. G.R.F. Assar more recently attributes them to Pacorus I.

Thank you Bob .I bought this coin by Lanz for €71 ( about US$80) , for me it was cheap for this quality .I was comparing it with a coin from Pacorus I , Baldwins sale of januar 2015 , lot 456 and indeed , it can be this king .
hereby the sellwood coin in the Baldwin's sale

and my coin

There is a difference in the nose , but I found images of Sellwood78.3 with the 2 kind of noses.
What do you think ? I know by experience that the description is not always wright ;albert

Yes, Albert, they are both Sellwood 78's (attributed as Vologases III by David Sellwood in the 1970s and 80s; and more recently as Pacorus I by Dr. Assar). The Baldwin's coin is a Sellwood 78.2, with the distinguishing feature being the medium length beard on the portrait.

Your coin, with its longer beard, is actually a Sellwood 78.3. The difference in the noses has no impact on the Sellwood number. Rather, the length of the beard, and variations in the archer's seat on the reverse, are the main features used to differentiate the Sellwood types (78.1 - 78.12).

Congrats on the pick up. It's a nice one.
