Hello everyone, particularly Torontonians. I've heard there was one of the RCM's elusive "strike your own token" for the PanAm games in Toronto. It's a round copper token that is struck by a hammer that you activate. As I happen to collect those tokens that are made every year for Canada day and the Chinese new year, I'm looking for information on that one. Anyone knows where it was struck and when? A picture would be nice, to know what I'm looking for. If you have information about one such token minted for a different occasion, I'd love to hear it too. *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

I saw PanAm and thought this post had something to do with the hunger games.

Moved to a more appropriate forum where subjects go to die. Ah well, I tried.

Thank you for the move, I also think this will be a more appropriate space for it. My hope is not only to get info on the Toronto token, but any other that might have been struck. The RCM doesn't exactly make it known when they are minted, and good luck asking them for a list of the ones minted so far. SPP does know about this token, he's the one who told me about it :P

I have one... I have just been too busy to photograph it. It has the Canada Day flag on one side, and Pachi (the Pam Am mascot) on the other...

Always had a soft spot for panam games. My hometown hosted the 1987 games the year I was born.
