As some of you know I got some great examples of DDO / DDR from SUDZ. I have been studying them while searching. I think this 1982 might be a good one (or not). Lets see if I am getting any better at identifying them?

I wasn't able to tell the difference either so I bought a scale off of ebay for 6.00 and it works great. Goes from 0.00 grams to 500 grams

Easy ways to tell if it is copper or zinc... If you see plating issue it is zinc, the copper coins tend to tone differently than the zinc coins, drop one of each on a hard table top(copper will make a high pitch ring sound, while the zinc will hit witha low thud), put one copper coin on your right fingertips with palm up and a zinc one on your left fingertips palm up move your hands up and down slowly concentrate on the feel of each(the copper one will actually feel slightly heavier with practice), and if all else fails BUY A SCALE(they are not that expensive)

The color is what I notice. The red color is deeper on the copper ones. The BU ones is a bit harder, but I can tell from the weight in hand which is which. (try it with your eyes closed)
