This enhanced paperboard case is for face value coins $20 for $20 & $25 for $25 between 2011 till 2015. Total 20pcs.

It has all 20 images of coins on the inside lid for matching purpose and bottom tray space for all 20 collector cards.

Price is CAD$29.95 each, Current stock level 1,900+ pcs

Smart move by RCM, IMHO.

I have been waiting a long time for something like this to come out. Very smart move by the RCM and with a $30 price tag it makes it affordable for that particular series too.

Its cool but I'm not a fan really. Cardboard case kind of a turn off....plus I don't collect the 25 for 25 so would have empty spaces.....would of been cooler to make one that holds some future coins also.....ill pass on this...the price tag is nice tho

Why couldn't they make it wooden? Cardboard wears out when handled a lot. I would gladly pay more for a higher quality case.

I would love to have a wooden case but people who can only afford to collect $20 for $20 coins can't afford $100+ wooden cases. 1864 left. At this pace they'll be "Awaiting Stock" by Sunday night if not sooner.

My compliments to the RCM! I think it's great that they've developed an attractive and affordable collector's case for the series.

Good idea (finally) and great price tag.

But cardboard and looks huge....hmmm

If I not mistaken somewhere saw the pictures of the Wooden case for 20for20 by Lighthouse - this one looks great (but priced CAD 50-70).

I saw the wooden one by Lighthouse as well but the price tag was a little steep I thought especially for a series that will probably never be worth much more than face the case probably won't add much value either. Ordered one from the RCM, looking forward to having something to display my set in.

It does not needs be a premium case like the MC case. Something in between that one and the cardboard case would be fine. Even a plastic case would be better than a cardboard.

People who collect the $20 or $25 can afford a better case since 20 coins costs you $400. So what is a $50 or $60 box when you spend $400+ for the coins. It is like the price of 2 or 3 coins.

No it won't be awaiting stock anytime soon. Most people except forum members have not even heard of it yet.

I think an investment risk.
As a collector, probably better to buy only the individual coins that you like.
It would be good to calculate the compounded inflation rate on these, so that the real value of $20 can be calculated at any time into the future.

For for these coins to maintain their investment value over 25 years, an average inflation rate of 3% over 25 years, $20 now has a face value of $40 in 25 years' time. That's just if the real investment value of them is to be maintained only, with any real gain.

You will need to have a continuously increasing demand for them of more than average 3% over that period.

They have to be stored somewhere as well.

Thanks for the link, @justsilver! Wasn't aware that this box came out. Perfect and inexpensive way to organize the $20 for $20 / $25 for $25 collection!

Great move by the mint!

When will we see a collector case for Silver Dollars, or different size trays (e.g., SD) for the wooden collector case?

Thanks justsilver for the post. Perfect case for the kids. I was afraid of getting them an expensive wooden case and then seeing them dent and scratch it.

Consider this:
what will be better at the end:
Scratched and dented wooden case for $50 (?) or destroyed cardboard case for $30?
