Dave et al,

Just got this really nice 1888-O in and I can't come up with the VAM. Most of the letters in "DOLLAR" are doubled and the date is lightly doubled. Normal date/high MM that borders on ovoid. Thoughts? PG

I'm at work about to head into a meeting. I'll get back to it.

No kidding Charlie, work always gets in the way.

This is a tough one. Maybe you should send it to Messydesk.

I think you are correct Dave. I have around 30 '88-O's that need "varietizing" to confirm my take on them. Guess it's Messydesk time! BTW - Think I came up with a 1H (circulated). Will pick it up today. I can't find any examples of it on VWorld.

I agree on sending the coins to JB. The O looks "normal to me" or at least within tolerance, depending on the day ha. From what I can see, I say VAM-1, but the doubling on the reverse is not visible to me. My only guess would be VAM-36 based on what you have mentioned, but I am not sure the MM position is a match.
