Hi everyone I was just wondering what's the going rate for Franklin's and walking liberty halfs, I notice must guides put them in the 6-8 dollar range but around where I'm at in east central Indiana everyone seems to want 10$ a piece, one pawn shop even wants 15.99 for Franklin's and Kennedy's and most of them are polished, 5.99 for silver Roosevelt's, and 34.99 per ounce silver bullion. And I'm not talking about BU or anything I'm talking about common circulated coins. I found one guy I can get 90% for 12.5 times face but he doesn't have a big selection at all. But thanks for the answers everyone and have a great day.

I don't have a local coin shop, but that seems high for me across the board. Especially the bullion.

That is VERY high across the board. I live in northern Indiana and my LCS is about 13-13.5x face these days. Usually only $1-1.50 over spot on bullion. That pawn shop must feast on the dumb with $20 over spot per oz. Holy crow.

The prices seem high for everything except 12.50 for 90% silver. That sounds like a good buy.

Where I am, Franklin half dollars sell for a low of $6 all the way up to $8 or so. Walking Liberty half dollars go for $7 (at the absolute cheapest) up to $10 or more. Every coin dealer I've visited in my area prices these several multiples higher than regular junk silver.

Common silver 90% sells at 12 times face if purchasing less than $10 face, 11.5 x over $10 face. Good mix but not much that is numismatically yummy.

Yeah I thought they was all high too except for the one guy. It's crazy here everyone wants top dollar for polished like crazy coins. I think I'm gonna take an adventure to Indianapolis this Friday to try and find a good coin shop. The pawn shop has a 1878 s Trade dollar graded f12 details scratches be PCGS they want 199 for it. They just rip people of I asked them what they pay for silver Roosevelt's and silver quarters. They said they would give me fifty cents for the Roosevelt and 1 dollar for quarters.

Wow what a scam offering you $1 for a quarter and selling at those prices. I get it they have to make money but that place sounds like a total rip off.

$13 for junk silver. And I can take all day cherry picking the bins. BU, .9999 for $16-$18. As far as that guy selling for $35ish. I would laughed right in his face. And continued to do so in a sarcastic manner all the way to door! But that's just me. But I'm kind of a cantankerous old cuss. lol
