What are the odds of finding 2 identical die cracks on 2 1955 wheaties? I'm a cashier at a thrift store, and I found 2 1955 wheat pennies with the same die crack below the E in liberty!
Also on one of the wheats on the reverse:)

Yep Die crack/chip looks to be the beginning of a BIE coin. That is where the b and the e eventually form together

The first two are probably from the same die pair. The second image of LIBERTY shows a lamination starting between the IBE area on LIBERTY.
Rest in Peace

I think you coin is one of the stages of Cohen's 55-B105 to 55-B109 (page 33 in the "THE CLASSIFICATION AND VALUE OF ERRORS ON THE Lincoln Cent" ). It depends on the markers on the reverse.
Also I think it's listed as Hardy Index 55P-4SBL+4 (Semi Die Break page XXXVI in the BIE Handbook).
I would like to list your coin on Cuds-on-Coin with your permission. Please email your full name and if possible a full image of the reverse so I can figure out what Cohen stage it is.

Thank you for the information, you all are so helpful:)
JC, I can't find those books your talking about, where can you buy them? But I did go on the Cuds-On-Coins website, and my coin is similar to LDB4-1955-001, mine has even the die-crack on Lincolns shoulder, which I will show a close-up of. The only difference is mine doesn't have the crack between the 55, and mine has a Cud on the wheat in the back and also on the T in CENT.
Is this coin worth very much? And yes you can display it, how do I get ahold of you?

The books are very hard to find. I don't know of any BIE Handbooks for sale. There is one of the "THE CLASSIFICATION AND VALUE OF ERRORS ON THE Lincoln Cent" listed on Amazon Books.

You can contact me by email , on my post to your thread click on my name JC Stevens "In Blue above the profile of Lincoln on the left side a window will open my Profile and under Contact Information you will find "Send a Email. Also on the COC WEB Site has my email address.

From the images you posted the coin is Cohen's 55-B107. The 55-B-105 will not have the Die Chip on the Left Wheat but it has the Die Chip on the stem of the T in CENT. Note these are called Die Chips and not Cuds. A Cud is a die break that involves the rim and at least a little bit of the adjacent field or design. The LDB4-1955-001 is a different die than your coin.

Thanks for the images. I'll list your coin as soon as I get your email.
