Here's one that just doesn't show up in my references or extensive googling. Appears to be white metal, approx 38 mm diameter (silver dollar sized), reeded edge & weighs 19.4 grams. If anyone can ID it, the help would be most appreciated...Rod in TX

This piece is called a Martinka dollar. It is listed as MT241b in the Keuthe reference on magician's tokens. I'm not sure if it is listed in the Baker or Rulau/Fuld references.

Here is a link to one that sold on ebay a long time ago...:http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/Magic-To...351008180992

I couldn't find much information about this piece. Researchers seem to be undecided on the year that it was minted.

With that information, Google turned up this result http://www.martinka.com/martinka/au....asp?ID=3215

It states, "This dollar size coin was sold by Martinka in the late 1890's and can be found pictured in our catalogs of that period.

A must for the token collector and a nice Martinka souvenir.

Listed by Kuethe as MT241 and Kenny as 178."
