To me it looks like the A is off-set in STATES, and there maybe a little damage on the A in AM, making it appear to be wider than it is. I'm probably wrong though. I would appreciate some help with this one.

That avatar is going to take some getting used to! I didn't see you coming. Why do you think it's a WAM?

A M E

The spacing looks correct. I think what is distracting is that the lettering is flat. I think that affects the way we see the A in STATES and the relative gap between the A and M.

Sorry for the curveball. I decided that after all this time I wanted to update the avatar. Take a closer look at the date on the V.

PS - I know everyone talks about the placement of the A, but to me, it's the angle (placement) of the second T. If you look at STATES on a CAM, the second T is the only letter that looks out-of-place. By virtue, the A slightly to the right while I contend it's the second T that's of angle and appears closer to the A. What do you think of my theory?

Sounds very interesting Rackster, even plausible. I've got to go right now. Thanks for the comeback, I'll check that out tomorrow and get back to you.

I agree that it is a Wide AM; The designer's initials are clearly situated close to the memorial device.

I'd like to see it too.
Thanks everyone for the input, guess I'm left with a nice Greaser.
Rackster, you're right about the T. I saved your avatar to my pictures but when I enlarged it, it became unclear. I even tried a loupe on your avatar right on my screen, but I see no V in the date?

Looks like a regular '92. I've yet to find even a '98 WAM. If I think I've found one of the variety I set it aside and look at it later. Guess I ain't got no sense after lookin at 1000s of cents., cause my second look has always discredited my first, unfortunately. GOOD LUCK Coinmasters.

BB, anyone can win on any given Sunday. About 12 days ago I went through a roll from the bank. I found a 98 WAM and a RDV-006 (88 with reverse of 89). Hang in there - it will happen. When you least expect it.
