Nice catch. I'll have to watch that. I sure hope they continue pennies since my set isn't complete. I think if they discontinue, my set will be harder to complete as prices I'm sure will rise.

I could easily see the cent being discontinued. Everything just needs to be rounded up or down appropriately including the taxes
I have seen this work in Brasil and I only found One 1 centavo coin in the 3 months I was visiting. Most things were rounded right at a .25 centavo interval as well

If cents and nickels were discontinued, what about having them only available via mint sets? Look at the halves, most aren't issued to circulation but they are still in sets.

Wow, did you see those new designs for the penny in 2009? Was disapointed that there were no wheat cents in these new designs.

I think we'll be seeing steel pennies after 09, just a hunch. I've seen the designs for the 09 penny before, and yeah I like them. We have enough wheat pennies out there anyways. If anything, put the VDB on the bottom again, 2009 S VDB :)
