I just found out that my hotel arrangements for the Palm Beach show have been cancelled due to the aftermath of hurricane Wilma.
As far as I know, the West Palm Beach coin show will still happen, although I have not heard back from the show promoters yet.
Unless I can find alternative hotel arrangements for the show, I will not be attending.

I just received the following from Heritage: It looks as if the show will take place, although without me ________________________________________________________________________ In the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma we have been closely monitoring the recovery of the Palm Beach area from the storm damage in order to determine if the Convention Center and hotels would be back in business by next week. We have been in contact today with the West Palm Beach Convention Center manager and the people at the Marriott Hotel across the street from the convention center. As of yesterday both places have electricity and we have been told that they will be fully operational today or tomorrow. As with any kind of natural disaster involving millions of people, the initial information can be sketchy and sometimes misleading and can change from hour to hour. At this point the show and the auction are a go and we at Heritage feel comfortable that everything in Palm Beach will be fine. Should this change we will notify all of you immediately. We appreciate your patience and understanding and if for some reason you are unable to attend the show in person, please call us to arrange for live phone bidding. Toll Free Direct Customer Service: 1-866-835-3243 Sincerely, Heritage Numismatic Auctions

I have officially scratched Palm Beach off the calendar. To those of you that were looking forward to meeting, we will try again in the spring.

I suspect attendance would have been low anyway. People tend to stay away from disaster areas and many motels/hotels may still be without power.

I'd hate to be a big consignor at the auctions there.

Just heard that Heritage announced it's moving to Dallas...

That makes a lot more sense. I still think that attendance will be down, but I don't think there would have been anybody (except dealers) attending the show if it was in Palm Beach.

It is officially cancelled at Palm Beach. No indication of the move to Dallas on the http://www.palmbeachcoinshow.com/ webpage. So maybe Heritage will host a show....?

No plans as of yet for the F.U.N show.
I will be in Los Angeles on "other" business next month, and announcements will be made shortly thereafter.

I will be set up at FUN. If you are in LA next month and have some time, give me a call. Hopefully, I can get away from the kids, miscellaneous stuff and JURY DUTY.[:0]

Let us know about your table at the FUN show, many of us in the south would like to drop by and say Hi and perhaps even spend a dollar or two.

I don't know the table yet, but it should be under my name. When I find out, I'll post it.

I have a table at FUN but there's still several shows between now and then. As I write this I'm in Chattanooga at the TN State Numismatic Show. I'm headed to Santa Clara in about 10 days (anyone else going to that show?), and there's a couple of local shows and Baltimore before FUN. Nick
