Does anyone know if this could possibly
be a 2000 Wide AM?

They touch/get very close to touching with a CAM. It's just a little bit harder to tell with the green crud on this cent.

Here are the differences:

And that's correct Md I've seen plenty that aren't actually quite touching but close enough like yours-you should learn to look at the more tell tale signs and you'll get much faster at knowing such as the A in STATES and the designers initials. Eventually you'll only need a couple seconds of glancing the coin to know wether it's a WAM or CAM

Thank you guys. I took the example and
tried comparing and it's still confusing. Although
the FG appear far away like the example, the
AM doesn't look close unless the green is actually
covering the M?

Wanted to Thank you [ BlueSolo ] for posting the images for the 2000 WAM - I have 2 of them - BUT - Not completely sure now. I will have to check mine now. I did not know about the FG for confirmation. Again Thank You.

Sincerely:

Md look at the reverse of your coin-see how much closer the A in STATES is to the 2nd T? On a WAM it is completely centered between the 2 T's and does not favor either one

Thank you Slamnbass. I appreciate you
pointing that out to me. Also thank you to BlueSolo
for pointing out the FG. To me when I first looked at
the coin basically I was looking at the distance
between the A and the M, but I'm learning :) thank you

Your welcome and oh I can definitely see where this coin threw you for a loop but your going to run into that this is why it benefits you to learn to recognize these other diagnostics

I applaud the use of images for answers. But there is a factor that may have been missed. The RDV-5-7 reverses might be a factor.

The 005 through 007 locations are different. You might want to add which RDV reverses you are using for the wide AMs and the close AMs.
