I am trying to identify this coin.

The face side says...

"Zur Erinnerung A D Kaisermanover Sept 1890"

Trying-To-Identify-This-Coin-Or-Token.

The Reverse says...

"Wilhelm II Deutscher Kaiser Konig V.P.R."

Trying-To-Identify-This-Coin-Or-Token.

I did an online search but the results could not find anything in this style. I Also tried searching through a few online catalogs yet nothing seems to fit it.

Rest in Peace

It's a commemorative medal. Try that route rather than coin or token.

Does it look like it had something removed from the top of it where it used to hang?

Wilhelm II had just finished a campaign in Africa quelling a revolt in 1889 and I believe this is a medal for participation in a military maneuver in 1890... but I am not an expert in this field...

Manover means maneuver in German. Zur errinnerung means in remembrance of. It looks like a commemorative token of some military maneuver from 1890. Interesting piece!

Cameron is absolutely right. Around 1900, plenty of commemorative medals where minted on occasion of maneuvers. Some maneuvers were called 'Kaisermanöver' because the emperor, in this case Wilhelm II., was present when it took place. Very interesting piece of history.

Thank you! I should of looked into translating it, here I thought Kaisermanover was a place.

I appreciate all the help so far and will continue the search forward.

It is an awesome find in an old box.
