Very nice example of the Octopus King. It's most likely Raja Raja Chola, but there were several Kings that issued this type I don't know enough about them to say which one it is though.

I bought similar example for $4, about 5 years ago. Mine has a slightly different Nagari reverse legend.

The coin does appear to be one of Raja Raja Chola I who was ruler of the Chola empire from 985-1014 AD. He was considered that greatest ruler of the empire which encompassed Southern India and Sri Lanka.
