I have 100 new two dollar bills in order starting with I 01354501* to I 01354600* with bep band. What would something like this be worth? I get twos all the time from the bank but nothing like this ever before. Edited by slugr 02/11/2008 10:08 am

All star (*) notes carry a premium. Serial numbers in order also carry a premium. I think you probably did pretty well. I don't have a bill book so I can't give you values but I'm sure someone else will come along shortly.

You can sell those notes together for a price ranging from $1,000 if it's a recent year to $100,000 if it's a really old year, as long as they all are UNC.

I have several 1928 red seal two's but they have been circulated. would appreciate any approximate values. I am mostly into old silver (morgans and walking liberties), but have acquired some paper.

I don't know about $1,000. ebay might be a better place to look for a comparison. Remember to search for COMPLETED auctions with $2 Star in the description. 1928 red seals are worth more than face, but it can be difficult to find a dealer that pays more than face for circulated ones. Unless you know a dealer, best place to start is a coin show and ask every table there.

I just did some simple math. Recent unc $2 * notes go for $10 a peice. You subtract the bulk pricing but add the pricing for it all being consecutive and it stays around the same.
HOWEVER!
Check the letter on the black seal. If it's an I, this stack of money is worth a lot more. A LOT more.

I checked they do have an I. I think most of the twos printed for all of us were from this bank

Wait, I think I'm thinking of the a different year or something that made the notes valuable with an I... Yeah, nevermind what I said there.

The 2003A Star notes are the valuable ones, but since they didn't print full straps of 2003A star notes, it would be very difficult to find 100 consecutive ones (which is why they are so valuable). If a full strap needed to be swapped out with star notes, they would swap in 2003 star notes.
